Set up your family in about ten minutes: a login for each child, an age-appropriate profile, a PIN on the settings only you should touch, and a weekly picture of what your kids are talking about.
Open Settings and unlock it with your parent PIN. Set your child's age, age band and region — CanopyKids uses these to shape tone, reading level and which safety rules apply. You can also choose compliance preferences for your region here.
The PIN keeps Settings out of your child's reach. Settings re-locks itself after a few minutes of inactivity, and you can lock it instantly with “Lock now”. Forgot it? Use “Forgot your PIN?” and confirm your account password to reset it.
On your Dashboard → Kids tab, add a child login with its own username and password. Each child gets their own chat history, and every child rides on your family plan — no extra billing, no message cut-off.
Press “Profile” next to a child to record their age, grade, interests, learning goals and how they learn best. A live preview shows exactly what the AI will know about them, so every answer is tailored to that child.
In the chat header, tap “Voice”. Your child holds a spoken conversation — they speak, the answer is read back out loud — and the full transcript is still saved in the sidebar so nothing is hidden from you.
Your Dashboard lists every child's conversations with timestamps, message usage for the billing period and any safety events. Messages are deleted after 30 days; a short summary is kept so you keep the picture without reading every line.
The Parent Digest summarises conversation themes, learning topics and any safety moments from the week. It never shows raw transcripts — the goal is awareness, not surveillance.
From the Dashboard or Pricing page you can switch tiers (changes are prorated), open the billing portal for cards and invoices, or cancel — access continues to the end of the period you've paid for.
