Short answers to the questions we get most about plan changes and renewals.
How does proration work?
When you switch plans mid-cycle, Stripe calculates the unused portion of your current plan and applies it against the new one. Upgrades charge the prorated difference today; downgrades show up as a credit on your next invoice. Your renewal date doesn't change.
When do I get billed next?
Subscriptions renew automatically on the same day each billing period — monthly or yearly, depending on the plan you picked. You'll see your next renewal date in the subscriber banner above and in the billing portal.
What happens if my payment fails (past due)?
We don't cut you off right away. Stripe retries the charge over a short grace period and you'll see a "past due" banner in the app. Plan changes are paused until payment succeeds — open the billing portal to update your card. If every retry fails, the subscription is canceled.
What does "cancel scheduled" mean?
You've asked to cancel, but you keep full access until the end of the current billing period — you won't be charged again. Until then you can change your mind and click Resume plan (or pick any plan above) to keep the subscription active with no gap.
